Wappingers Lake Dam
It rains. Rain fills the Wappinger Lake. The water follows its natural course from the Wappinger Lake into the Wappingers Creek.
Water follows the natural route of the Wappingers Creek through the Penstock (Pipe) You can view part of the penstock on Main Street Near Di'Vine Wine Bar. It is also a great view of the falls which are lit up at night.
Water enters the powerhouse through the penstock and goes into the turbines powering the generators.
Inside this building the turbines and generators are going. The water exits the building out of the tailpipe alongside of the building.
